Abstract

Lampung merupakan daerah dengan tingkat kegempaan yang tinggi. Wilayahnya berada didekat zona subduksi dan dilalui oleh segmen sesar Sumatera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat seismisitas wilayah Lampung berdasarkan a-value dan b-value, nilai indeks seismisitas, probabilitas dan periode ulang gempa. a-value dan b-value dihitung dengan menggunakan persamaan Gutenberg-Richter yaitu Log N = a – bM. a-value menggambarkan aktivitas seismik. b-value menggambarkan tingkat kerapuhan batuan. Data penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data dari katalog BMKG selama periode 2012-2022 dengan magnitudo ≥ 3 dan kedalaman gempa ≤ 300 km dengan koordinat wilayah penelitian 3°45'-6°45'LS dan 103°45'-105°45'BT. Dengan menggunakan metode maksimum likelihood melalui software Zmap V.6 didapatkan a-value sebesar 6,15 dan b-value sebesar 0,815. a-value dan b-value yang tinggi mengindikasikan bahwa wilayah Lampung memiliki tingkat seismisitas yang tinggi. Nilai indeks seismisitas untuk magnitudo 3-9 berkisar antara 0,003–245,88. Gempa dengan magnitudo 3-5 memiliki nilai probabilitas yang tinggi, sedangkan gempa dengan magnitudo 6-9 memiliki nilai probabilitas yang rendah. Periode ulang untuk magnitudo 6-9 berkisar 0,17 – 13.467 tahun. Kata kunci : tingkat seismisitas, a-value, b-value, maksimum likelihood, Lampung.
