Abstract

Anemia can be experienced by adolescent girls aged 10-19 years because they are vulnerable to nutritional problems. The 2018 Riskesdas results show that the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia in women up to aged 15 years old (22.7%). East Lampung Regency there was an increase in the prevalence of anemia (35.45%). The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nutrient intake and compliance with blood supplement tablet consumption with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMP IT Al Asror Sekampung East Lampung. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample of this study were adolescent girls (10-19 years) who attended IT Al Asror Sekampung Junior High School and totaled 64 people. Bivariate analysis this study used the Chi-Square test. The results of this study indicate that there are female students at risk of anemia (9.4%) and prove that there is no relationship between protein intake (p- value = 0.441 and PR = 0.568), iron intake (p-value = 0.245 and PR = 0.636), vitamin C intake (p- value = 1.309 and PR = 0.381), vitamin B12 intake (p-value = 0.721 and PR = 0.370) and compliance with blood supplement tablets consumption (p-value = 0.089 and PR = 0.762) with the incidence of anemia. There is a relationship between folic acid intake (p-value 0.037 = and PR = 0.800) with the incidence of anemia. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that adolescent girls can increase their intake of parotein, iron, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin B12 and compliance with the consumption of blood supplement tablets, namely by counseling related to nutrition at school.
