Abstract

Ogan Komering Ilir Regency have a negative impact on the production and income of wetland rice farmers whose cultivation system is influenced by rainwater. The objectives of this study were: (1) to analyze the impact of seasonal changes on the production and income of wetland rice farmers in Bangsal Village, Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, (2) to calculate the amount of production and income of farmers in Bangsal Village, Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, (3) to see the discrepancy in production and income of wetland rice farmers due to the impact of seasonal changes (before and after) in Bangsal Village, Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in Bangsal Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in January 2023. The research method used in this research is the survey method. The data collection methods used are primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of the analysis, of the 30 research respondents in Bangsal Village, Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency experienced the adverse effects of seasonal changes that occurred, as a result the production received by rice farmers at the time after the seasonal changes decreased. The selling price of rice is also according to the poor quality of rice when harvested due to seasonal changes. The average paddy production received by farmers before the season change (in 2021) was 3,250 kg/ha, while after the season change (in 2022) the average production received by farmers was 2,250 kg/ha. The results of the difference test of the average production of rice before and after seasonal changes showed a significant difference. The average income received by rice farmers before the seasonal change was Rp9,764,200, while the average income received by rice farmers after the seasonal change was Rp5,715,200. The results of the difference test of the average income of rice farmers before and after seasonal changes showed a real difference. Keywords: income, production, seasonal changes
