Abstract

Malaria adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh parasit malaria (plasmodium) bentuk aseksual yang masuk ke dalam tubuh manusia yang ditularkan oleh nyamuk malaria (Anopheles spp) betina. Berdasarkan data Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu tahun 2016, Kecamatan Baturaja Timur merupakan Kecamatan endemis malaria dengan Annual Paracite Incidence 0,7 per 1000 penduduk. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor risiko kejadian malaria di Kecamatan Baturaja Timur serta untuk melihat peta sebaran kasus malaria di Kecamatan Baturaja Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi case control. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 126 sampel dari 42 orang kasus dan 84 kontrol dengan rasio 1:2. Analisis peta menggunakan software analisis pemetaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pendidikan, pekerjaan, pemakaian kawat kasa, pemakaian kebiasaan keluar malam hari dan penggunaan obat anti nyamuk dengan kejadian malaria di Kecamatan Baturaja Timur. Saran dari penelitian ini bagi instansi meningkatkan penyuluhan secara rutin kepada masyarakat mengenai pencegahan penyakit malaria.
