Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji peran problem focused coping terhadap resiliensi akademik pada mahasiswa yang tidak lulus tepat waktu. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah ada peran problem focused coping terhadap resiliensi akademik. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dimana mahasiswa Universitas Sriwijaya yang tidak lulus tepat waktu sebagai populasi. Variabel resiliensi akademik diukur dengan menggunakan skala resiliensi akademik yang disusun oleh peneliti, yang mengacu pada aspek resiliensi akademik yang dikemukakan oleh Martin dan Marsh (2003). Untuk mengukur problem focused coping yang peneliti susun mengacu pada aspek skala problem focused coping yang dikemukakan oleh Lazarus dan Folkaman (1984). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana. Hasil analisis regresi sederhana antara problem focused coping terhadap resiliensi akademik menunjukkan data nilai R square sebesar 0,609, nilai F sebesar 230,351dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa problem focused coping memiliki peran yang signifikan terhadap resiliensi akademik. Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima. Kontribusi problem focused coping terhadap resiliensi akademik sebesar 60,9%.
