Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Employee Performance in the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of South Sumatra Province (Studies in the Field of Gender Mainstreaming and Women's Empowerment)". The purpose of this study was to find out the performance of employees in the Gender Mainstreaming (PUG) and Women's Empowerment (PP) fields due to a lack of Human Resources (HR) and what efforts have been made to improve employee performance, especially in the State Civil Apparatus. This study uses the theory of performance measurement indicators from Mathis and Jackson, namely quantity, quality, timeliness, attendance, and cooperation. The research method used is qualitative and the research data comes from informants, documentation, and literature studies. The technique used in determining informants is purposive sampling technique with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the performance of employees in the field of gender mainstreaming and women's empowerment, especially in the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) has been said to have reached the expectations that have been set previously in the sense that it has been said to be good. However, in reality, in carrying out the tasks and activities of PUG and PP, there is still a lack of human resources. Addressing the shortage of ASNs in the PUG and PP fields are provided with training and education to improve performance and produce quality performance. The advice recommended by researchers in this study is that the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of the Province of South Sumatra continues to maintain things that are already good and improve again to produce good quality performance.
