Abstract

Mud Crab is a biota that lives in brackish waters, especially in mangrove forests, and it has high economic value, but the cultivation methods that usually used were still very simple and depends on nature. The purpose of this research was conducted to find out the correct cultivation methode of Mud Crab to increase the growth and survival of Mud Crab.This research was conducted from May to June 2023. The results of this study showed that the highest growth of Mud Crab was in the feeding treatment of Green Mussels (Perna viridis), with absolute growth reaching 92.50 grams, and the lowest was in the feeding of Seluang Fish (Rasbora spp.), with an absolute growth of only 21.17 grams. Feeding Selar Fish (Caranx leptolepis) as a control variable gave an absolute growth of 63.33 grams. The result of DMRT test showed significant differences between every treatments. A high survival rate was almost to 100% indicates an effective method of crab apartment maintenance to decrease cannibalism in Mud crabs.
