Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the Growth and Yield of Cayenne Pepper Variety RAWITA F1 (Capsicum frutescens L.) on various compositions of growing media in polybag scale. This research was conducted in November 2022 until Januari 2023 in Alang-Alang Lebar District at coordinates 2.92699oS, 104.71618oE, Palembang City, South Sumatra. The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications to obtain 18 treatment units. Each treatment consisted of 2 plants. So that the number of plants observed amounted to 36 plants. P0 = Control, P1 = soil: chicken manure: husk charcoal (1:1:1), P2 = soil: chicken manure: husk charcoal (2:1:1), P3 = soil:chicken manure: husk charcoal (1: 2:1), P4 = soil: chicken manure: husk charcoal (1:1:2), and P5 = soil: chicken manure: husk charcoal (2:1:2). Based on the results of the study showed that the effect of the composition of the planting medium containing soil, chicken manure, and husk charcoal P1=soil:chicken manure:husk charcoal (1:1:1) was the best treatment to the parameters of leaves,stem diamater,plant height,and has the highest value on the number of branches,number of fruits weight in cayenner pepper plants.
