Abstract

The majority of people still have a lack of understanding on TBC. People who have good knowledge about TBC are able to prevent, treat, and control the spread of TBC cases. One of the efforts that can be made to increase knowledge about TBC is providing health education using leaflet media and short film media. The aimed of this study was to see the difference between leaflets and short films on TBC knowledge. This type of research was quasi-experimental with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was 36 respondents divided into 2 groups, namely the leaflet group of 18 respondents and the short film group of 18 respondents. The data was collected by using a questionnaire about the knowledge of TBC. The analysis of this study used paired sample t-test and independent t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the knowledge of respondents after being given leaflet media health education and short film media with a p value of 0.000 <0.05. The average increase in the knowledge value of respondents who receive the short film intervention is higher than the leaflet intervention, but further research still needs to be done to determine whether short films are scientifically better than leaflets.
