Abstract

The study was about "The Development of Teaching Materials Based on Local Wisdom History In High School". The problem raised is how to develop a valid and practical module. The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and practical module and to see the impact of the effectiveness of module based on local wisdom. The development of history /earning module has already conducted and applied to tenth grade of social science 4 in Senior High School 2 Lahat. This study used research development method. The validity of this module was evaluated by experts, while the practicality and effectiveness of this module was assessed through a field test. The validitity assessed by three experts of design, material, and language. The validity of design was in valid category with the mean score 3,63, validity of material was in valid category with the mean score 4, 00, and validity of language was in valid category with the mean score 4, 06. The effectiveness of the module was shown from the results of the test of learning outcome on the field trials with the mean score of pretest was 26,3 with very low category and there was an improvement in the posstest with the mean score 78,6 from 0%, the student who did not reach the minimal mastery criteria became 76% students who reached it. This showed that the history learning module based on local wisdom on the subject of history in the tenth grade of Senior High School 2 Lahat was declared valid, practical, and effective for the student.
