Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is the top disease that causes human death in the world today (World Health Organization/WHO). Based on the data obtained, South Sumatra Province has an increase in heart disease. However, cardiovascular disease services in Indonesia are still very minimal and treatment queues are still long due to the lack of medical service areas. It should be noted that in heart patients, especially coronary heart disease (CHD) sufferers, there is a crucial time for sufferers from the beginning of CHD which is referred to as the golden time with a period of approximately the first 90 minutes. In the realm of architecture, architects play a role in designing containers for patients and medical teams so that the implementation of medical activities can be carried out properly and does not hinder handling. Therefore, the design of the South Sumatra Specialized Heart and Vascular Hospital focuses on problems in the emergency zone which includes the circulation flow for the realization of the implementation of well-integrated medical activities, especially in the early period of coronary heart disease
