Abstract

Kalianda District is a sub-district in South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. Merak Belantung Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung Regency is a village located in a coastal area. As a strategic coastal area and has great potential and has abundant mangrove forest resources. This research was conducted in March 2023 with the research location divided into 6 observation stations which aimed to analyze the diversity of macrozoobenthos found in the mangrove area and the coast of Merak Belantung Village. The sampling method used was purposive random sampling technique. The results of the identification of macrozoobenthos found 3 classes, namely Gastropods consisting of 9 species, class Bivalvia containing 1 species and class Malacostraca containing 2 types of macrozoobenthos. The results of the diversity index biodiversity index were classified as moderate, the uniformity index was high and no species dominated. Sequentially the highest abundance value, namely at station 5 is 34 ind/m2, station 4 is 32 ind/m2, station 6 is 24 ind/m2, station 2 is 23 ind/m2, station 1 is 19 ind/m2 and station 3 i.e. 13 ind/m2. The relationship between species and biodiversity of macrozoobenthos to water conditions resulted in 2 groups, namely F1 and F2. F1 consists of abundance, diversity, uniformity, pH, and dominance. And F2 consists of temperature and salinity.
