Abstract

The final school exam is an important moment for students, including high school students, because it affects their academic results and their future. In general, to achieve good results, students will put pressure on themselves so that it affects the level of anxiety in the student. High levels of anxiety can have a negative impact on student performance in exams, including school final exams. This study aims to determine the level of anxiety of students at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara in facing the school final exam. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with a population of 93 class XII students using saturated samples. The data in this study were obtained using a Likert scale instrument. Based on the results of research on anxiety levels in facing school final exams. It was found that 58% (71 students) could be categorized as moderate, then 20% (12 students) were obtained in the high category. Then obtained 22% (10 people) of students from the entire sample who have anxiety levels in the low category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the level of anxiety of students at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara in facing the final exam is classified as moderate. This means that the anxiety level of students at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara, the majority of students experience anxiety in facing the final school exam.
