Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of tourism development in Penesak Park, Seri Bandung Village, Tanjung Batu District, using 3 indicators and SWOT analysis. This research uses a type of quantitative descriptive research and data collection using a questionnaire method, observation and documentation. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling based on specific criteria according to the research objectives. Thus the research respondents were people aged 16-30 years who came from the three villages closest to Penesak Park. The results of this study conclude that Penesak Park tourism has the potential to be developed based on 1). Analysis of 3 potential indicators of tourism success in the form of object attractiveness, accessibility and facilities. In terms of the attractiveness of this Penesak Park tourist attraction, it has quite extensive land and an artificial lake as an attraction, in terms of accessibility Penesak Park with smooth and also safe access and in terms of facilities it has rides for children's playgrounds, fishing ponds, places of worship only for supporting facilities and complements are not fully adequate. 2). SWOT analysis shows strengths and opportunities that are potentially greater than weaknesses and threats. So that Penesak Park tourism in Seri Bandung Village has the potential to be developed considering that this park has great potential for Seri Bandung Village, village communities and related parties.
