Abstract

In Steel construction, not only the computation of column and beam structure should be determined, but also its connection. Steel connection is usually a combination of welds and bolts, but it is possible to merely use bolt for the connection that calculated by common equation. Research results are simulated using the program made by Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corp., which has been integrated with the SolidWorks program CosmosWorks analysis with finite element analysis basis can help expedite the process of this research with reference to the work based on the method of LRFD (Load Resistance Factor Design). From the results obtained there is a difference on manual calculations and analysis performed by the program SolidWorks, tension bolt on manual calculations differ between bolts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Most of the bolt tension is accepdted by first bolt, and a decrease in second, third, forth, and fifth bolt ecause of the approach in erms of the distance of each bolt at the neutral line, while the analysis of voltage occurring CosmosWorks different - different on each bolt, because the analysis is based on the voltage stress analysis CosmosWorks working on all elements of the test sample.
