Abstract

This research is a study that discusses the role of End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes (ECPAT) in overcoming child pornography in Indonesia during the Covid – 19 Pandemic. The main cause of the increase in child pornography is the high spread of child pornography on social media which are not matched by good access restrictions so that children are vulnerable to pornography. The Covid – 19 pandemic has caused a spike in child pornography cases globally, including in Indonesia. ECPAT as an NGO that focuses on the problem of commercial sexual exploitation of children plays a role in overcoming child pornography in Indonesia. This study used a qualitative-descriptive approach and secondary data sources obtained through journals, books, reports and official websites. The results of the study show that ECPAT as an NGO has a role as an Implementer, namely providing assistance with consulting services and legal assistance. As a Catalyst, namely advocating for victims through the UPTD PPA institution, advocating for law enforcement officials, conducting campaigns through social media and conducting research. As a partner, ECPAT works with government agencies through the Ministry of PPPA, KOMINFO, and the Ministry of Villages. ECPAT cooperates with the private sector, namely Facebook and Google. Finally, ECPAT cooperates with a non-governmental organization, namely IWF (Internet Watch Foundation). ECPAT's role aligns with David Lewis' NGO role theory. This can be seen from the work program that has been carried out by ECPAT in dealing with child pornography in Indonesia during the Covid – 19 Pandemic.
