Abstract
The aimed of this research was to determine the growth and yield of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) on peat soils which were given EM4 and biovitalic decomposers. The research was conducted from September to November 2018, in the greenhouse at Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The design used in this study was a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 7 treatments and 3 replications, so there were 21 treatment units, and each treatment consisted of 3 plants. The total plants were 63 plants. The treatments used in this study were: P0:Control, P1: Biovitalic 2 ml per plants, P2: Biovitalic 3 ml per plants, P3: Biovitalic 4 ml per plants, P4: EM4 2 ml per plants, P5: Em4 3 ml per plants, P6: Em4 4 ml per plants. The results showed that the biovitalic 3 ml per plant was relatively the best treatment to height plants, fresh weight of tuber and dry weight of tuber of shallots while as EM4 threatment showed no significant effect to all parameters. Keywords: Shallots, Biovitalics, EM4
