Abstract

Masculinily is a form of social construction lowards gender. Gender is a concept referring to the difference berween men and women, based on the responsibility that is socially constructed. Value of masculinity appeared on Surya Pro "Warriors Never Quit" advertising, and appealing to be researched to understand how masculinity value is depicted inside of it. This research is using the semiotic method by Charles Sanders Peirce with his triadic relation. This research is using the masculinity theory by Raewyn Connell. The result of this research indicates that masculinity is valued based on how a man is capable to manifest his dominaiton of power towards other men. The form of power domination that showed on the Surva Pro "Tarriors Never Quit", is competition in a sports match. Not only that, the form of masculinity is related to how consaners of Surya pro are portrayed Key words: Representation, Masculinity, Semiotics, Domination, Pewer.
