Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan proses karakterisasi reservoir sehingga meminimalisir kegagalan ekplorasi. Salah satu teknik yang biasa digunakan dalam ekplorasi ini yaitu atribut Root Mean Square (RMS) dan Instantaneous frequency. Dari analisis atribut RMS dapat dikatakan bahwa zona target penelitian ini khususnya untuk Formasi Talang Akar memiliki potensi ataupun prospek reservoir batupasir dengan impedansi kecil dan porositas tinggi. Penggunaan atribut RMS cukup efektif dalam mengidentifikasikan keberadaan batupasir di Cekungan Sumatera Selatan. Berdasarkan analisis atribut RMS, didapatkan nilai amplitudo tinggi bervariasi antara 16000-26000 ms dan nilai amplitudo rendah antara 0-9000 ms. Hasil pemetaan yang diperoleh pada Formasi Talang Akar Cekungan Sumatera Selatan memperlihatkan bahwa daerah penelitian didominasi oleh warna hijau dengan nilai amplitudo berkisar 16000-19000 ms berada pada kedalaman -1540 hingga -1610 m berupa butiran kasar dan umumnya mengandung endapan batupasir kasar hingga halus. Atribut instantaneous frequency tidak dapat menganalisis keberadaan reservoir batupasir karna memiliki frekuensi tinggi dengan polaritas yang rendah.
