Abstract

Research has been conducted to identify the presence of groundwater in the planning of mosque construction in the Kayuagung Sub-district of Ogan Komering Ilir City using the 1D Schlumberger configuration of geoelectric method. The geoelectric method of resistivity was performed by injecting electrical current into the ground through two current electrodes, and the potential was measured through two potential electrodes. When an electrical current is injected into a medium and the potential difference (voltage) is measured, the resistance value of that medium can be estimated. The working method of this research involved creating a survey line ranging from a minimum length of 60 meters to a maximum length of 120 meters. Subsequently, measurements were taken using a resistivity meter, and the data obtained were processed using IP2Win, Surfer, and ArcGIS software to obtain a subsurface structure representation. The interpretation results showed that the materials in the Kayuagung Sub-district of Ogan Komering Ilir City consist of clay sand and tuff rock with resistivity values ranging from 10 to 85 Ωm. The aquifer zone was found at a depth of 27.5 to 42.5 meters. The interpretation results also provided recommendations for drilling points located at x = 483181.3 and y = 9622606.
