Abstract

Penelitian dan pengembangan telah dilakukan untuk untuk mengatasi permasalahan pencemaran logam berat pada lingkungan perairan dengan menggunakan metode adsorpsi. Namun, adsorben saat ini yang digunakan untuk mengadsorpsi logam berat memiliki tingkat selektivitas dan sensitivitas yang rendah. Sehingga penelitian ini fokus untuk melakukan pengembangan adsorben Nanofiber IIPs-Fe3+ yang disintesis dengan variasi jarak jarum terhadap kolektor electrospinning. Berdasarkan hasil karakterisasi dan analisis SEM yang dilakukan peneliti mendapatkan sebaran distribusi pori pada permukaan material NF-IIPs-Fe3+ di skala 20-100 nm masing-masing pada jarak 10 dan 15 cm sebanyak 2781 dan 2711 pori. Dan pada saat dilakukan uji kinerja material sebanyak 100 mg terhadap larutan uji dengan konsentrasi 30 ppm pada 40 mL didapatkan nilai kapasitas adsorpsi NF-IIPs-Fe3+ dengan jarak 10 dan 15 cm sebanyak 11,6 mg/g dan 11,47 mg/g. Sintesis serat nanofiber dengan jarak jarum yang optimal mendapatkan lapisan serat yang lebih tebal serta memiliki distribusi pori yang lebih merata sehingga mampu meningkatkan nilai kapasitas adsorpsi analit.
