Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has 3 dimensions of territory, consisting of land, sea, and air. Each of these dimensions has its own role and each of its own role has interest. In the defense sector, Indonesia stil has an insufficient level of focus, especially for the air defense sector. Indonesia is a member of an International Organization called ASEAN or Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which has 11 members and each country of ASEAN has its own defence sector. Has as many of 11 members, each country of ASEAN has its own potential and how to improve the security of the country potential and how to improve security from the perspective according to their policy. Methods of qualitative research were used in this study. The researchers secondary data came from the literature studies, literature reviews, report findings and earlier research. According to Defence Diplomacy theory, which used in this study, the analysis of the role can be seen and looked through three indicators, namely Strategic Coorporation, Promoting Civil-Military Relations, and Capabilities on Defence Maintenance.
