Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran risk taking behavior pada mahasiswa di era new normal COVID-19. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana gambaran risk taking behavior pada mahasiswa di era new normal COVID-19. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 344 mahasiswa di Universitas Sriwijaya. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu skala sebagai alat ukur, yaitu skala risk taking behavior yang mengacu pada domain ethical, financial, health/safety, recreational, dan social berdasarkan teori Weber, Blais dan Betz (2002). Hasil data penelitian dianalisis dengan metode statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik uji beda independent sample t- test dan one way anova menggunakan bantuan IBMM SPSS Statistic 16 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa di Universitas Sriwijaya memiliki tingkat risk taking behavior yang tinggi. Domain yang paling dominan dan berkontribusi paling besar dalam mempengaruhi tingkat risk taking behavior pada mahasiswa adalah domain financial.
