Abstract
Penelitian ini melakukan analisis neutron pada teras reaktor CANDLE Gas-Cooled Fast Reactor (GFR) dengan bahan bakar uranium metalik (U-10%wtZr) Berbasis OpenMC. Analisis bertujuan untuk memahami distribusi fluks neutron dan laju reaksi fisi di teras reaktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fluks neutron yang lebih tinggi pada zona bahan bakar starter akibat laju reaksi fisi yang lebih tinggi, sementara zona bahan bakar segar menunjukkan fluks neutron yang lebih rendah. Perangkat lunak OpenMC terbukti efektif dalam analisis neutron pada geometri teras reaktor yang kompleks, memberikan wawasan penting untuk merancang reaktor nuklir yang lebih aman dan efisien. Temuan ini berkontribusi dalam mengembangkan reaktor CANDLE-GFR dengan bahan bakar uranium metalik, mendukung solusi energi bersih yang berkelanjutan, sesuai dengan tuntutan energi masa depan, dan memperhatikan isu lingkungan.
