Abstract
The kailan plant has a fairly high selling power, therefore it is necessary to increase production in the cultivation of kailan plants to support market needs The alternative that can be done to increase the productivity of kailan plants is to control the TDS value in the soil. TDS value needs to be controlled to measure water quality in the soil as a natural medium for kailan plant growth. Arduino uno functions as a controller and data processing unit from the TDS sensor and the TDS Sensor functions as a measuring component used to identify and measure the amount of dissolved solids in the content contained in water. The humidity sensor functions as a measuring component to identify the moisture content contained in the soil. The water pump functions as a tool for flowing nutrient solutions up and down to the water nutrient liquid which will be flowed into the soil of kailan plants. The relay is used as an electronic switch to drive a mini water pump and a 20x4 LCD as a display screen, The pid method used in the control system for regulating soil values in kailan plants can maintain the value of nutrients in the soil in the range of 1200 ppm-1500 ppm by maintaining humidity at a setpoint value of 60%-90%, this value is in accordance with the value needed in kailan plants, The use of setpoint values on the pid controller aims to get the desired response as the pid controller system functions to minimize errors when reading TDS and humidity values.
