Abstract
The research on the potential of noni fruit extract (Morinda citrifolia) has been carried out to determine the effect of noni fruit extract on the mortality of red ants (Oecophylla smaradigna). In this study the experimental method was used with a completely randomized design (CRD) of 4 treatments and 4 repetitions. The treatment consisted of controls P0 (0%), P1 (0.06%), P2 (0.14%), P3 (0.25%) with a treatment duration of 24 and 48 hours. Data were analyzed by calculating the variance and DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results of the study stated that noni fruit extract (Morinda citrifolia) had a very significant effect on red ant. The greatest number of red ant mortality was in the concentration of P3 (0.25%) with a percentage of mortality at 24 hours of 42.5% and at 48 hours of 60%. The results of the research can be used as alternative material for contextual examples in the form of Student Worksheets in Class X High School Biology for basic competency material 3.2 and 4.2, namely Various Levels of Indonesian Biodiversity.
