Abstract

Silicone Rubber insulation is used because it has a good dielectric properties. The use of Silicone Rubber for a long time can cause the insulation to expand (increase in length) and result in a decrease in the quality of the insulation. Aluminum has low density, corrosion resistance and good elasticity. In addition, aluminum has tailorability properties, so that the required mechanical properties can be modified depending on the combination of matrix, reinforcement and conditions in the interface area. Silicone Rubber (SIR), which is hydrophobic, often tends to have a bad level of interaction between the two materials, so that the addition of surfactants is needed. The silicone rubber sample to be tested is in the form of a sheet measuring 50 mm x 50 mm with a thickness of 1 mm. Variations of Al2O3 fillers to be used are 0; 1; 2; 3; and 4 wt% and 0.01 gr surfactant. the test carried out was to measure the Breakdown Voltage of the sample and then stretch it with a Tensile variation of 1 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm with a conditioning duration of 60 minutes. The electrode system to be used in this study is a needle-plate electrode with a distance of 1. SiR material filled with Al2O3 modified nonionic surfactant TX-100 after being treated with mechanical stress gives an increase in PDIV value at a concentration of 0; 1; 2; 3; 4 wt% of 0.28 - 0.41 kV, 0.31 - 0.42 kV, 0.34 - 0.43 kV, 0.42 - 0.48 kV. And 0.30 – 0.46 kV. The value of the breakdown voltage gives a decrease in the value of the breakdown voltage at a concentration of 0; 1; 2; 3; 4 wt% of 1.87 – 4.34% or 0.06 – 0.14 kV. 0.84 – 2.73% or 0.03 – 0.09 kV. 0.40 – 1.08% or 0.01 – 0.04 kV. 3.07 – 4.50% or 0.11 – 0.16 kV. And by 0.21 – 4.20% or 0.01 – 0.14 kV. An increase in the PDIV value and a decrease in the breakdown voltage value can occur due to partial damage to the sample insulation, especially in parts that experience mechanical stress.
