Abstract

The development of E-sports is very rapid, especially in Indonesia, which has continued to increase since 2018. The increase in E-sports is of particular concern until the government formalizes E-sports as a sport. Then the management organization was formed, namely PBESI, then through Pengprov a regional management organization was formed, which was managed by Pengda. ESI is the regional level E-sports management branch. In this study, the ESI organization of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency became a place of research in solving research problems, namely how the ESI OKU persuasive communication strategy in e-sports socialization. This study uses the theory of David G Myers about persuasive communication. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that in conducting socialization, OKU's ESI is quite good at providing information about E-sports. The socialization that was carried out was quite effective in implementing aspects through several dimensions of Myers. However, more intensity is still needed from OKU's ESI in socializing this Electronic Sports so that OKU District can understand more about E-sports.
