Abstract

An induction motor has an auxiliary coil and a capacitor connected in series in a permanen capacitor motor. The problems that exist in single-phase induction motors the lack of optimization of the performance of induction motor and the importance pf knowing so that they can protect single-phase induction motors from damage and archive optimization and performance of induction motors. The author will discuss the Analysis of Calculation of Electrical Energy Consumption and Effeciency Due to the Effect of Adding Capacitors on Single Phase induction motors. When the capacitor is 12 µF the value of electrical energy is 0.196 Kwh and the efficiency is 57%, the capacitor is 12µF+ 1.5µF The value is electrical energy is 0.232 Kwh and the efficiency is 60%, the capacitor is 12µF+ 2µF The value is electrical energy is 0.242 Kwh and the efficiency is 62%, the capacitor is 12µF+ 3µF The value is electrical energy is 0.259 Kwh and efficiency 63%, capacitor 12µF+ 4µF Electrical energy value 0.288 Kwh and efficiency 74%, capacitor 12µF+ 5µF Electrical energy value 0.312 Kwh and efficiency 88%, From the data it can be seen that adding the value of the capacitor will increase the value of electrical energy and increase efficiency. A good capacitor in this study is when the value of the capacitoris 12µF + 5µF because of its high efficiency value so that the maximum performance of the motor is optimal.
