Abstract
Dengan tingginya laju produksi, PT Kaltim Prima Coal (PT KPC) harus selalu melakukan inovasi agar seluruh tahapan dapat dilaksanakan secara optimal dan efisien, terutama pada tahap pemboran dan peledakan. Salah satu faktor penting keberhasilan suatu operasi peledakan dilihat dari fragmentasi hasil peledakan dimana hal tersebut akan berdampak pada aktivitas gali muat material. Berdasarkan data digging rate bulan September - Desember 2022 rata-rata digging rate alat gali muat Liebherr 996B masih dibawah standar perusahaan (3026 bcm/jam) yaitu sebesar 2840 bcm/jam. Pola geometri peledakan yang digunakan burden 7 m dan spasi 9 m belum optimal dikarenakan berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan, fragmentasi yang dihasilkan sebesar 71% - 88% dengan rata-rata digging rate sebesar 2996 bcm/jam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan nilai geometri peledakan yang optimal, menganalisis pengaruh perubahan geometri peledakan terhadap fragmentasi hasil peledakan, menganalisis pengaruh perubahan geometri peledakan terhadap digging rate alat gali muat dan mengetahui kelayakan penerapan pola geometri yang baru di Pit Pinang South. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan data fragmentasi, digging rate, powder factor dikombinasikan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dan kelayakan perubahan pola geometri peledakan. Pendekatan geometri menggunakan metode R.L Ash dikombinasikan dengan Teori Kuzram-Cunningham untuk mendapatkan prediksi ukuran fragmentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pola geometri yang optimal adalah burden 6,5 m dan spasi 10 m. Pola geometri 6,5 m x 10 m dilakukan ujicoba di lapangan menghasilkan fragmentasi hasil peledakan aktual ≤ 30 cm sebesar 88% - 91% dengan digging rate rata-rata sebesar 3224 bcm/jam untuk Liebherr 996B dan 2005 bcm/jam untuk alat Hitachi Ex3600 serta powder factor aktual 0,195 kg/m3 – 0,224 kg/m3. Dengan demikian, pola 6,5 m x 10 m layak diaplikasikan di Pit Pinang South dikarenakan framentasi, digging rate dan powder factor telah sesuai dengan standar perusahaan. With high production rates, PT Kaltim Prima Coal (PT KPC) have to makes improvements so that all stages can be carried out optimally and efficiently, especially during the drilling and blasting stages. One of the important factors for the success of a blasting operation is seen from the fragmentation of blasting results which will have an impact on material loading and digging activities. Based on the digging rate data for September - December 2022, the average digging rate for the Liebherr 996B excavator is still below the company standard (3026 bcm/hour), which is 2840 bcm/hour. The blasting geometry pattern used with 7 m burden and 9 m spacing is not optimal because based on field observations, the resulting fragmentation is 71% - 88% with an average digging rate of 2996 bcm/hour. The purpose of this study was to obtain the optimal value of the blasting geometry, to analyze the effect of changing the blasting geometry on the fragmentation of blasting results, to analyze the effect of changing the blasting geometry to the digging rate of the digging equipment and to determine the feasibility of applying the new geometry pattern at Pit Pinang South. This study used a quantitative method with data on fragmentation, digging rate, powder factor combined to analyze the effect and feasibility of changing the blasting geometry pattern. The geometric approach uses the R.L Ash method combined with the Kuzram-Cunningham Theory to obtain predictions of fragmentation sizes. Based on the research results, the optimal geometric pattern is 6.5 m burden and 10 m spacing. The geometric pattern of 6.5 m x 10 m was tested in the field resulting in actual fragmentation of ≤ 30 cm by 88% - 91% with an average digging rate of 3224 bcm/hour for the Liebherr 996B and 2005 bcm/hour for the Hitachi Ex3600 and actual powder factor 0.195 kg/m3 – 0.224 kg/m3. Thus, the 6.5 m x 10 m pattern is feasible to be applied in Pit Pinang South because the framing, digging rate and powder factor are in accordance with company standards.
