Abstract
The train is one of the public service transportation facilities that has become one of the transportation needs of most passengers, which are included in the category of public places that have a high risk of disease transmission so that sanitation supervision is needed. The Covid-19 pandemic has become a major concern in Indonesia by implementing health protocols in public places that use public transportation, for example on trains to travel. The purpose of this study was to analyze sanitation on PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Divre III Palembang trains in an effort to adapt to new habits of preventing Covid-19. This research uses a qualitative approach. There were 13 informants, 4 key informants and 9 ordinary informants. The train sample used is a train with Economy, Business and Executive classes with routes under the regional division III of Palembang city. Data were collected by in-depth interviews, observations, document review and analysis of economy, business and executive class train units. Validity test is done by triangulation of sources, methods, and data. The results showed that overall the variables studied, namely room cleanliness, food management, insect and rat control, sanitation facilities, supporting facilities for passenger comfort and safety, as well as adaptation to new habits on the train were overall good. However, there are several variables that do not meet the requirements, including the lack of the number of vomit containers, the cleanliness of the glass doors and windows, food storage areas, trash bins near passengers, instructions for sanitation measures, measuring passenger body temperature, no signs required to use masks and lack of signs or posters for implementing physical distancing for passengers. The conclusion in this study is that sanitation on PT.KAI Divre III Palembang trains has been carried out and implemented very well, but there are some that have not been implemented optimally so it is suggested to be repaired in accordance with PP Regulation No. 61 of 2016, Permenkes RI No. 374/MENKES/Per/111/2010, Permenkes No 1096/MENKES/PER/VI/2011, PM 63 of 2019, and Kepmenkes Number HK.01.07/Menkes/328/2020 which are valid.
