Abstract

The number of diarrhea cases that occurred in the Indralaya Health Center work area increased from year to year where in 2020 there were only (0.01%) cases and increased in 2022 by (0.06%) cases. This study aims to analyze the relationship between complete basic immunization and basic household environmental sanitation with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 12-59 months in the working area of the Indralaya Health Center, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study used a cross-sectional study design with random sampling techniques. Analysis techniques are carried out univariately, bivariately, and multivariately with chi-square tests. The results of bivariate analysis found that there was no relationship between the availability of drinking water that met the physical requirements of (p=0.070) with the incidence of diarrhea on. While the provision of complete basic immunization (p=0.000), the availability of clean water that meets the physical requirements of (p=0.000), the condition of the latrine (p=0.000) and the provision of garbage boxes (p=0.032) found that there was a relationship with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 12-59 months. Multivariate analysis found that the variables associated with the incidence of diarrhea were complete basic immunization variables, the availability of clean water that met the physical requirements, and the condition of latrines, while the variables of the availability of drinking water that met the physical requirements, and the provision of garbage boxes as confounding variables. The incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 12-59 months is most dominantly influenced by basic immunization variables complete with a p-value of 0.000; and CI = 5.145 - 207.369. The conclusion in this study is that the most dominant variable with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers is the complete basic immunization variable.
