Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of population growth, labor force participation rates, and the human development index on the level of regional inequality in Java Island province in 2006 – 2021. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of panel data from 2006 – 2021 sourced from Central Bureau of Statistics. The method in this study used quantitative descriptive analysis with panel data regression analysis techniques. The results showed that the variables of population growth and human development index had a negative and significant effect on the level of regional inequality. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate has a positive and insignificant effect on the level of regional inequality.
