Abstract
This study aimed to determine and study the duration of battery charging, as well as the power used and generated in an automatic insect trap against the tool when it is used. This research was carried out in December 2022 at the Machinery and Workshop Laboratory, Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study used the observation method in the form of data collection by literature study and direct field observations. Parameters observed include the calculation of battery power and energy, battery usage time, battery charging time, fill factor, solar panel power and solar panel efficiency. The results showed that the power needed to operate was 7.0 W and the battery energy was 96 Wh, the battery usage time was 10 hours 58 minutes, the battery charging time was 7 hours 42 minutes.fill factor 0.204, solar panel power is 77.403 W and solar panel efficiency is 6.66%. So that the observation of insect traps carried out at 18.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB is 11 grams.
