Abstract

Internet networks have become a vital infrastructure of modern life, connecting devices around the world. The internet enables information exchange, communication and access to digital resources globally. However, internet networks also face a number of issues that need attention. Network analysis is needed in monitoring internet networks that have busy internet activity and extensive communication network links, with network analysis various kinds of factors that affect the network can be known, one of which is the cause of slow internet networks. The purpose of this research is to stabilize the network by controlling traffic on the network used by monitoring what applications are accessed by users. This research was conducted at Fasilkom Universitas Sriwajaya Indralaya during working hours and on 3 categories of days, namely holidays, middle days, and busy days using Winbox software and Daemon Syslog and Mikrotik Router hardware to do scanning. The scanning data contains the application that was opened along with the time the application was accessed, the scanning results were analyzed by polynomial regression using the Python language and a graphical visualization was made then the correlation coefficient value R. The application with the highest average correlation coefficient value R for 3 categories of days is the Tiktok application with an average value of 0.70. This value shows that users open the Tiktok application which is accessed from 13.00 to 15.00, this makes the network even more congested during working hours which makes the Wi-fi network slow down. So the application should be limited so as not to slow down the wifi network for things that have no positive impact.
