Abstract

Inflation is one of the important economic indicators, the rate of change is always kept low and stable so as not to cause macroeconomic diseases which will later have the impact of instability in the economy. High and unstable inflation is a reflection of the tendency to the increase the price level of good and services in general and continuously over a certain period of time. This study aims to identify and analyze the development and the effect of reserve requirement ratio, deposit interest rates and government expenditure on inflation. The method use in this research is multiple linier regression analysis using ordinary least square model. The result of the study show that simultaneously the reserve requirement ratio, deposit interest rates and government expenditure have an effect on inflation. Patially, the reserve requirement ratio and deposit interest rates have a positive and significant effect on inflation, while government expenditure has a negative but not significant effect on inflation.
