Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline on employee performance at the Four Lawang State Prosecutor's Office in Tebing Tinggi. The scope of the author limits the problems in this study according to the title proposed, this study is only related to the influence of work discipline on the performance of employees of the Four Lawang State Prosecutor's Office in Tebing Tinggi. Data obtained from respondents through questionnaires, focus groups, and panels or also data from researchers' interviews with resource persons. The primary data in this study was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires at the Four Lawang State Prosecutor's Office in Tebing Tinggi. The results of the work discipline research have a significant and positive influence on the Response of Superiors to Subordinates regarding Employee Performance at the Four Lawang State Prosecutor's Office in Tebing Tinggi. A coefficient value of 1.076 indicates that an increase in the labor discipline of subordinates proportionally contributes to a positive increase in the perception of performance by superiors. These results illustrate that subordinates who are able to maintain good work discipline tend to get more positive responses from superiors regarding their performance. As an implication, the application and improvement of work discipline in the office can effectively improve the superior's view of subordinates' performance. Therefore, efforts to strengthen the culture of work discipline and teach the importance of responsibility and punctuality to employees can help create a more productive work environment and build positive relationships between superiors and subordinates in terms of performance appraisals.
