Abstract

This research aims to determine the development and influence of the agricultural and mining sector on economic growth in Sumatera region. This research used secondary data sourced from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) period 2011-2021. The analysis method used is Shift Share, Dynamic Location Quotient, Klassen Typology and panel data regression with commond effect model. The results of this research show that the agricultural and mining sector of the Mineral Province in Sumatera are still the base sector and have a faster growth rate than others sector. The agricultural and mining sector have a positive effect on the economic growth of the Mineral Province in Sumatera Region, but the agricultural sector does not have a significant influence while the mining sector has a significant influence.
