Abstract

There are much mount rock aggregate and river rock in Musi Rawas. This research purpose is to compare characteristic of mount rock aggregate and river rock HRS-WC mix from Musi Rawas. Lataston /(HRS) in one of asphalt mix types which is processed with hot temperature (hot mix) and has a function as wear iayer. The data was gathered by aggregate testing showed that mix suited specification. Threre are three samples which were made in every asphalt composition (5,5%, 6,0%, 6,5%, 7,0%, dan 7,5%). HRS-WC mount rock composition consisted of (split 19%, screen 13%, rock ash 41%, sand 20%, andfiller 7%).than HRS-WC river rock consisted of (split 24%, screen 9%, rock ash 32%, sand 28%, and filler 7%). Result showed that the two aggregate from Musi Rawas suited specification to be used as road pavement material. Marshall parameter showed Asphalt Optimum Amount or Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO) for HRS-WC rock mount composition was 6,9% and river rock was 6,6%. Stability range, melting and Marshall Quotien through KAO for HRS-WC rock mount composition were 2000 kg, 4,06 mm, 495 kg/mm and river rock were 2355 kg, 2,78 mm, and 632 kg/mm.
