Abstract

Tiger grouper is one of the leading commodities that have high economic value. The tiger grouper fish farming business is currently being developed to support market needs. The problem that occurs is feed consumption that is less effective on fish growth. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of different feeds on the growth rate and survival of tiger grouper. The method used in this study used the RAL (Completely Randomized Plan) method with # fiber tub pools with 3 nets in each tub. The results on growth were analyzed using ANOVA. The results of research on different types of feed on growth in length and weight showed significantly different. The best growth was the trash fish feed treatment, with an average absolute weight growth rate of 8.98 g, and absolute length with an average of 7.8 cm, daily growth rate (SGR) with an average of 3.05 gr, feed conversion rate (FCR) with a value of 2.06% and tiger grouper seed survival rate was 100%.
