Abstract

Background: The increase in COVID-19 transmission has led the government to provide alternative health services through telehealth. Teledentistry is a form of telehealth that utilizes a combination of telecommunications and dentistry, which involves the remote exchange of relevant clinical and imaging information for consultation and treatment planning. Teledentistry has weaknesses, therefore it greatly influences the level of satisfaction and patient experience of using teledentisrty. This study aims to analyze the level of patient satisfaction and experience with teledentistry during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of patient satisfaction and teledentistry services. Methods: This research is a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional study design. The study sample was 100 samples, namely teledentistry users during the COVID-19 pandemic in Palembang City who met the inclusion criteria. Data was taken from a questionnaire via google form and the data was processed using SPSS. Results: the dimension of technical knowledge and competence obtained the highest percentage of satisfied (98.3%), service effectiveness (97.4%), freedom of choice (95.6%), service comfort (93.8%), doctor and patient relationship (90.4%) while the dimension of action safety obtained the highest percentage of dissatisfied among other dimensions, namely (42.1%). and there is a very strong correlation of 0.839 Conclusion: Patients are very satisfied with teledentistry services during the COVID-19 pandemic and there is a very strong relationship between the level of satisfaction and patient experience with teledentistry services
