Abstract

This study was to find out the effect of manure applied to mine tailings soil growing media on the growth of pepper plants. This research was conducted from December 2023 to February 2023 in Kundi Village, Simpang Teritip District, West Bangka Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 11 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment in this study was P0 : Soil = 100% or 4 kg/Polybag, P1 : Soil + Chicken manure (25% : 75% or 1 : 3 kg/Polybag), P2 : Soil + Chicken manure (50% : 50% or 2 : 2 kg/Polybag), P3 : Soil + Chicken manure (75% : 25% or 3 : 1 kg/Polybag) P4 : Soil + Cow manure (25% : 75% or 1 : 3 kg /Polybag) P5 : Soil + Cow manure (50% : 50% or 2 : 2 kg/Polybag), P6 : Soil + Cow manure (75% : 25% or 3 : 1 kg/Polybag), P7 : Soil + Goat manure (25% : 75% or 1 : 3 kg/Polybag), P8 : Soil + Goat manure (50% : 50% or 2 : 2 kg/Polybag), P9 : Soil + Goat manure (75 % : 25% or 3 : 1 kg/Polybag), P10 : Soil + NPK Fertilizer (100% or 4 kg + 4.5 gr/Polybag). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that manure could improve the physical properties of mine tailings soil containing N, P, K manure and water, while in Treatment P4: soil + cow manure (25% : 75% or 3 : 1 kg/polybag) indicated with this dose of cow manure is the best treatment in improving mine tailings soil in the parameters of plant height, vine length and number of leaves besides that in treatment P2: soil + chicken manure (50%: 50% or 2: 2 kg/polybag) on This treatment was good in terms of canopy bash weight, root wet weight and root length for the growth of pepper plants (Piper ningrum L.)
