Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine ECPAT's role in handling cases of online child sexual exploitation during Covid-19 in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative method using primary data and secondary data, collected through a data collection method by interviewing the ECPAT Indonesia program manager directly for primary data and via the official ECPAT Indonesia website with secondary data. By using David Lewis's theory, namely using international organizations which are divided into three elements, namely Catalysts, Implementers and Partnerships. The results of this research show that ECPAT is an international non-governmental organization whose aim is to end all forms of sexual abuse against children. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, where children are vulnerable to experiencing forms of online-based sexual violence. Therefore, it is hoped that the presence of ECPAT can provide a program that trains children and parents to carry out digital literacy, so that it will minimize acts of sexual exploitation of children online because children can already carry out digital filtering.
