Abstract

This research is descriptive research that aims to know the result of student activity and the implementation of learning with the appliying model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and also the result of student learning after appliying model of PBL on material system of two linier euations (SPLDV) in class VIII SMPN 42 Palembang. Subjects of this research are student of class VIII.3 SMPN 42 Palembang with the total of the students are 36 people. Data collection techniques in this research were obsevation and test. Observation is used to know the result of student activity and the implementation of learning with the appliying model of PBL while test is used to find the student’s learning result. Based on the results of this research, it was: 1) The average of the implementation of learning with the appliying model of PBL is 74,57% in good category and the average the students’s activity when appliying PBL with very good and good category is 89,53%. 2) The average the result of student learning after appliying model of PBL is 80,53% with good category.
