Abstract
This researth is located in Banjarsari, Muara Enim, South Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to analyze and calculate the potential of coal resources that can be used as underground coal gasification. The method used in this research includes field data collection. Laboratory analysis, and studio analysis. Resource calculation is done using the circular method. The results obtained from this research are in the form of a coal seam that has the potential for underground coal gasification. SEAM G at the research location has the potential to carry out the development of coal utilization with the underground coal gasification method. Depth range from 120.55 to 182.45 meters, and the thickness of the layers range from 11.95 to 19.35 meters, calorific value 12,151 to 12,222 btu / lb (ASTM, 2004), value of ash content + moisture content <60%, clamp rock, and the SEAM G coal resource estimate consists of an inferred resource of 241,529.58 tonnes, and an indicated resource of 123,818.28 tonnes.
