Abstract

High traffic volume occurred at the intersection of five DPRD Sumsel in Palembang City because it is located in the city center and meeting the five streets of protocol in Palembang. Therefore, frequent accumulation of vehicles or long queues and vehicle delays because in this region is an office and shopping center located in the westem part of Palembang City. Problems that occur at the intersection and high traffic volume often impact the occurrence of accidents. This study aims to evaluate vehicle exhaust emissions based on traffic performance at the intersection of DPRD SumSel in Palembang City for existing condition and to analyze altemative or traffic scenario planning of geometric widening of road and traffic rearrangement by using Manual program microsimulation Vissim 8.00 for performance traffic and EnViVer programs to analyze vehicle exhaust emissions by generating emissions calculations of nitrogen oxide (NOx), particulate (PM 10) and carbon dioxide (C02) emissions, thus obtaining good problem solving. The compared parameters in assessing vehicle exhaust emissions analysis with the high emission load of all planned scenarios and applied to the program used. Based on the analysis, the result shows that the geometric widening scenario and the traffic regulation re-arrangement (Altemative 3) are good to be applied to the DPRD intersection in Palembang City.
