Abstract

The Russian-Ukraine war is a complex conflict that will occur in 2022. Vladimir Putin will become president of Russia in 2022, as well as being a central actor in every Russian action in the conflict. This study explains that military intervention in Ukraine was Russia's foreign policy during the reign of Vladimir Putin. The idiosyncratic theory is a tool used to find out Putin's policy in taking foreign policy through intervention in Ukraine. The idiosyncratic theory is intended to determine Vladimir Putin's personality, leadership style, leadership type and in terms of his background and biography. Putin's assertive and charismatic personality in terms of idiosyncratic factors found that Putin's leadership style is Task Oriented which is not easily influenced by external factors. Challenging political boundaries, being easily open to new information, and having a persistent desire to achieve its goals and vision and mission are in line with Putin's leadership type, namely Strategic leadership. Keyword : Russo-Ukrainian War, Vladimir Putin, Idiosyncratic Theory, Task Orientation, Leadership Strategy.
