Abstract

Acid mine drainage is water that is formed at mining sites with a low pH value of 1.5 to 4. Management of acid mine drainage should be carried out at every mining company in accordance with the obligations based on Minister of Energy and Mineral. One of the efforts to cope with aquatic plants requires input to be able to grow, namely the addition of compost/organic fertilizer, namely using empty palm compost bunches which have a fairly high nutrient content such as N, P, and K. This was carried out by observing the growth response in acid mine water TKKS treatment media. and Limestone. This study aims to determine the types of aquatic plants that have the most potential, the best treatment media from different compositions and interactions between plant species and treatment media. Parameters measured were number of leaves, fresh weight of plants were analyzed using ANOVA and Duncan's test for further tests. The data obtained was analyzed by analysis of variance and then followed by the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at a confidence level of 0.05. The results of this study indicated that the highest increase in the number of leaves was 8.17 (water hyacinth), the highest increase in plant wet weight was 267.92 (grams), and the best interaction of the average number of leaves and wet weight was in the t2k1 sample. (water hyacinth. Composition of 25% palm bunches: 75% limestone). Keywords: Mine Acid Water, Aquatic plants (water hyacinth, water jasmine, and mendong), Palm Oil Bunches Compost, and Limestone.
