Abstract
Thi the is enJitled Communication Strategy of Regional Broadcasting Commission of htdonesia (KPJD) South Sumatera in Socializing Media Literation to the people of Palembang City. Media Literacy is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, and communicate information in various forms of media, the ability to do this is aimed at viewers as media. However, there are still many communities, especially teenagers and children, a child who has not understood and knows what is Media Literacy. This study aims to analyze the Communication Strategy of KPID Sumse/ in Socializing Media Literacy to the People of Palembang City. The type of this thesis research is descriptive qualitative research to describe communication strategy of KPID Sumsel run by Institutional Field The data used in the form o_(primary data and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study was analyzed using Wayne, Peterson and Dallas, communication strategy theory that is, to secure understanding, to establish acceptance and to motivate action. The result of research shows that communication strategy of KPID Sumsel in disseminating media literacy to the society of palembang city has been running well. In the implementation of media literacy program, KPID Sumsel has applied various strategies in accordance with the theory used in this research, the content of messages in socialization is conveyed well, appropriate communication media. Socialization and communication phase by KPID Sumsel has been done well, through various ways and procurement activities to the target program that is the people of South Sumatra, especially teenagers, children and housewives.
