Abstract
PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja (PUSRI) revitalized PUSRI IIB manuf'acture to improve its productivity to fulfill the necessity of fertilizer in Indonesia. In response towards the situation, it requires new electricity instal lat ion. In other words, PT. Pusri built Steam Turbine Generator (STG) and coal boiler. STG and coal boiler are steam electricity which used coal as the main resource of STG and coal boiler with chimney. It has a function to spin the turbine by using the steam. On the chimney construclion, foundation is one of the most important part to distribute the structure load into the lower ground soil. The purpose of this research is to plan a saf e foundation t o the chimney construclion with square pilling foundation size 40 x 40 cm depth 24 m. Carrying capacity method used statistic formula of carrying capacity with NSPT test result. Based on the calculation of allowable capacity (QiZin) by those methods resulted Os method a and Qb valued 543.442 kN as the smallest O izin, and 1260.538 kN by NSPT result test as the biggest value of Qizitt- The number of used piles were 81 with 2m spaces interval of each piles. Pile efficiency (Eg) was 0.777 and carrying capacity group pile (Qg) = 34184.99 kN with safety factor 2.5. Carrying group pile ’s lateral (Hsg) = 17671.77 kN.
